Happy Halloween!
The kids in their Halloween costumes, Camden was woody with real cowboy boots and Brielle was a lady bug.  The only way she would leave the hood on for pictures was to have her sunglasses on.

This is the family Trick-or-Treating.  Josh is using his senior stuff and going as a highschool senior.  We decided I was Gimpy, the lesser known eighth dwarf, this driveway was all gravel and I didn't want to face it with my knee troubles so I took the pictures!

Brielle is digging into the candy, she's not waiting for anything!

Knee, Kids, and school

Yeah, I know that I haven't been very consistent doing this. I was just reading through some of my old posts. (my all of 2!) funny that I was just talking about Camden being through with school. That last day was May 21st which I remember really well because we went out to eat lunch to celebrate at Iceberg. The reason that I remember so well is because I was sitting down at a booth and stood up and low and behold my right knee cap dislocates! I'm not going to lie it was some of the worst pain I have ever been in my life! Fortunately there was an EMT from St. George that happened to be getting something at the Shell. He came a grabbed my leg and held it steady because my muscles would tighten up and that was bad. We waited for ambulance to come and get me. In the meantime, poor Josh didn't know what to do. He was torn between being with the kids and supporting me. My dad came and got the kids while I waiting for the ambulance. On the ambulance, I tried to convince the EMTs to take me to the Instacare since I work there, I knew that they wouldn't though. At the hospital they took xrays and put me in a knee brace that made it so I couldn't bend my knee. That made it really hard because I couldn't drive any where and had to be driven around. For those of you who know me really well, it is hard for me to ask for help! Then I got to follow up with an orthopedic doctor. I was given a new brace that helped to prevent the knee cap from dislocating again and told to go to Physical Therapy. So almost two months later and several sessions of physical therapy (at 7 a.m) my knee is still bothering me. I decide to get an MRI because I'm having more pain than I should be after that time for a dislocation. At the MRI I was told to empty all of my pockets, which I know because of being an xray tech. well I emptied my front pockets, but forgot about my back pockets. With 5 mins left in the scan I realize that my debit card is my back pocket. Ooops! I told the tech and she said I could still try it but it had probably been wiped clean. Yep, thats what happened! I had to wait to get a new card. My follow up appointment I find out that I have torn a meniscus and will have to have surgery. I will also be getting a lateral release done which will cut my ligaments on the side so that my knee cap has a 95% chance of not slipping out. I will be off work for about 2-8 weeks depending on my recovery. I will be having the surgery on Sept 18th.

Camden will be starting school back up at the end of this month, on the 31st. He will be so excited because everytime we drive past a school he shouts, " mom school!" I'm glad that he is so excited to learn. Camden is a great big brother and always "helps" with Brielle. He very good at watching out for her and coming to get me if she needs help. Camden is completely potty trained. We found a method that trains in 3 days. It worked pretty well with just a couple of accidents here and there.

Josh is also starting back to school on the 24th. I haven't gotten to see very much of him this summer because of our conflicting work schedules. And it is only going to get worse with him being in classes. Oh well, it will be worth it when he is done. We just found out that his status is a Junior instead of a sophomore, so that is a great thing! We feel like we haven't accomplished very much this summer with me being down so often because of the pain, but we need to remember how much time we've been able to spend with our kids.

Oh yeah, Brielle has said her first sentence, which was "Hi Dad". Also spends all of time climbing on things, and trying to be like brother. Next up for her, weening from a bottle to a cup!

Well, not much has changed in our lives, except that Josh is back working at CAL ranch. He went back there because he wasn't really happy at IHOP. He is much happier at CAL ( as I like to call it.) He will be working full time, which he wasn't before because of school, and he won't be home late hours, (or early hours in the morning, depends on your perspective I guess. ) I am soo happy about that. He passed most of his classes, but has to take one or two over again. We knew that was coming though.

Camden's last day of classes are on Thursday. Funny how you can get used to something in such a short time (he started the last week of March.) His vocabulary has improved a lot, and he loves being around his classmates.

Brielle is a busy as ever, loves to explore her world and her personality emerges more and more everyday. She jabbers all day long, wish I knew what she is saying! She has also mastered the scowl. Her face says everthing when she does it, it is so funny! She thinks that she is as big as her older brother and tries about everthing he does, not usually with the same effect.

I work fulltime 3 days a week, and stay home on the other days and trying to keep up with the kids, and housework. We are going to Alaska in September and we can't wait! My kids and I went up to Salt Lake with my parents to go to my Grandma's 90th Birthday party. Josh couldn't come because he had to work. We went to the zoo with my sister's family and had a fun morning. Then my parents and I went to Morgan for the party. We met my brother there also It was fun to see some of my cousins that I haven't seen in probably 15 or more years. My Grandmother looks so good for being 90. It was good to see her, because I don't get to very often.

Blogging

Well, I have never done something like this before, so we'll see how it goes. Josh and I have been married for seven years now, ( April 26th), and we just fall more and more in love all the time. We have 2 beautiful children. Camden is our oldest and he is 3. Brielle is our baby and will turn a year old on Monday the 6th. We live in Enoch Utah, which is great because we are close to family and have great friends out there. I work at the Instacare in Cedar and Josh works at IHOP. We have recently started Camden in preschool so that he can be in speech therapy. He loves school. On the first day of school he got out of bed and put his back pack on. Brielle is our very busy little girl. She spends the day extensively exploring her world. This will hopefully be the best way for family to know what is going on in our lives, and I will try to blog frequently.
